The well known Celtic Warrior collection is all hand made in Ireland. As the story goes ---Warriors like Chu Chulaunn, Fionn Mac Cumhail and Queen Maeve are inspirational heroes from our past who influence our songs and stories even today. Carrying shields richly decorated with Celtic symbol and design they represent courage and fearlessness.
The Celtic Warrior Collection has been inspired by one of Ireland’s foremost treasures, the Ardagh Chalice. In 1868 it was found in Ardagh, County Limerick by two men digging potatoes. This 8th century piece is Ireland’s most prized artefact and is held in the National Museum of Ireland.
It is widely recognised as one of, if not THE, most important pieces of Celtic art found. A girdle of ten filigree panels of animal design, interlacing and shield decoration surrounds the neck of the chalice. The chalice is made of silver and decorated with 354 pieces of gold, brass, lead pewter, copper, gilt bronze and enamel beading.
Skilled goldsmiths make the Celtic Warrior Collection in there Dublin workshop to the highest standards and then send them to Dublin Castle where they are hallmarked. Celtic Warrior is a registered trademark.
