Tartan Day - April 6th

Although not an "official holiday" Tartan Day " rolls around every year on April 6th. Originally tied to Tartan Fashion Week in NYC, and it was not unusual to see the likes of Sir Sean Connery or Samuel L. Jackson strutting their stuff in Manhattan it is certainly a great way to brighten up a lack luster day.
On one of my first trips to Scotland the beautiful memory of standing on Princes Street and watching everyone going about their business from Mum's with their tots in strollers (pushchairs to us) and the new Grad's from the local universities - All dressed up in their best and proudly wearing their black graduation gowns. But there were also so many gentlemen in business suits - both traditional 3 piece suits and Kilted suits too. Have you ever seen a "pin striped" kilt? Very dashing indeed. However, there is nothing like Men in Kilts to make the ladies hearts beat a wee bit faster no matter if you are 16 or 90!
I have chaps come into the shop, someone says go try one on. the reply is often No, I don't have the legs for it - rubbish! Every guy looks good in a kilt!
